Nicholas Perry, Vice President of Operations
Nicholas Perry serves as the Vice President of Operations for Romulus Restaurant Group's companies. He started his journey with RRG in 2000 as a dishwasher, and currently oversees more than 100 IHOPs in 11 states.
Nicholas is responsible for all aspects of store level operations, sales/ profitability, compliance, and a mindset of continuous improvement. He oversees and monitors execution of company strategic initiatives, field management staffing, training and development, P&L statements and budgeting, and operations policies and procedures.
Lowell Horner, Director of Operations, RRG West
Lowell Horner serves as the Director of Operations for Romulus Restaurant Group's west companies. He has been with the RRG since 2003 as an IHOP General Manager, and within months, a District Manager. Lowell currently oversees more than 35 IHOPs within Arizona, and multiple stores in Idaho.
Prior to his employment with Romulus Restaurant Group, Lowell worked for Sambo’s Restaurants as a General Manager. During his employment his restaurant was awarded the most improved unit in a division of approximately 400 locations. He also worked for Denny’s from 1983 to 1996 as a General Manager, District Manager, and Franchise Manager in Idaho, Oregon, Utah, Colorado and Arizona, where he monitored 106 different units. After being offered a position as Regional Manager in 1996, he instead chose to become a franchisee of seven Denny’s restaurants. While working with Denny’s he received an award for his district recognizing he was in the top 1% for sales and profit increase.
Lowell attended Arizona State University.
Shauna Mullins, Director of Operations, RRG South/East
Shauna Mullins serves as the Director of Operations for Romulus Restaurant Group's south and east companies. She has been with RRG since 2004, where she started as a server in Tucson, Arizona. Shauna currently oversees 28 IHOPs within our Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania markets.
Shauna is responsible for all aspects of store level operations, and values developing current and future leadership, for continued growth and success.
Noelle Diaz, Director of Operations, RRG North
Noelle Diaz serves as the Director of Operations for Romulus Restaurant Group's north companies. She has been with RRG since 2009, where she started as a server, and then assistant manager, in the Idaho market. She has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Triple Crown and District Manager of the year. Noelle currently oversees 39 IHOPs within Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and Tennessee.
Noelle is responsible for all aspects of store level operations, and oversees and monitors execution of company strategic initiatives, field management staffing, training and development, P&L statements and budgeting, and operations policies and procedures.
Mike Engsberg, VP Human Resources
Mike Engsberg joined Romulus Restaurant Group as the Vice President of Human Resources in 2014. Mike provides strategic thought leadership related to talent and culture management, including recruitment, training/development, employee relations, compensation/benefits, compliance and government regulations, for all restaurants and brands. He also has an active focus on building capabilities by automating HR service delivery, and enabling a shared service model.
Prior to his position with Romulus Restaurant Group, Mike served in senior leadership positions with large restaurant and retail organizations, including 13 years with Applebee’s International, Inc. He’s also been an independent executive coach and HR consultant, working closely with CEO’s and executives in the hospitality industry. He has served on national Board of Directors for the Multi-Cultural Foodservice Hospitality Alliance (MFHA) and local board of The Urban League.
Mike holds a B.A. in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and has executive coaching certifications from the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara and the Coaches Training Institute.
Denyse Lujan, Director of Human Resource Administration
Denyse Lujan is the Director of Human Resource Administration. She joined RRG in 1997. She is responsible for managing the administration of all subjects relating to human resources, worker’s compensation, general liability and property insurance, unemployment compensation, hiring, employment, tracking and file management for 11 states and nearly 6,000 employees. She also handles communicating with the numerous government agencies regarding employee relations and operations audits.
Bud Morgan, CIO
Bud Morgan serves as the Chief Information Officer for Romulus Restaurant Group, and has served with RRG since 2008. As CIO, Bud is responsible for the information technology strategy and the computer systems required to support the organization's goals and objectives.
Prior to joining Romulus Restaurant Group, Bud provided IT management & support to hotel & restaurant companies, through his own company, Dinemation Consulting. Prior to Dinemation, he worked for Geac Hospitality Systems, a supplier of restaurant POS systems & enterprise restaurant software where he held several management positions within their support and install group. Bud is a member of the IHOP Technical Advisory Committee.
Bud received a B.A. in Communication Media from the University of Northern Iowa, and holds numerous technology certifications including a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He is also active in the PCI community and has served as Romulus’ PCI Internal Security Assessor (PCI-ISA).
Chris Tressler, Controller
Chris Tressler serves as Controller at Romulus Restaurant Group. He joined RRG in 1998. Chris oversees the accounting department, payroll, accounts payable, cash management, and internal controls.
Chris holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University.
Jordan Pace, Assistant Controller
Jordan Pace is Assistant Controller of Romulus Restaurant Group. He joined RRG in 2015. Jordan is responsible for financial reporting, tax compliance & planning, financial analysis, and treasury management.
Jordan holds a B.S. in Accounting and a Master’s of Taxation from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
Catie Bell, Director of Development
Catie Bell is the Director of Development for Romulus Restaurant Group. With RRG since 2006, she is responsible for managing lease and franchise documents, new restaurant acquisitions, existing store remodels as well as new construction including the corporate site submittal and acceptance process, communication with the general contractors, FF&E purchase and coordination, bank loan funding and payment to vendors.
Catie graduated with a B.A. in Communication from Arizona State University.
Tracy Lujan, Director of Learning and Development
Tracy Lujan is the Director of Learning and Development. He has been with RRG since 1997. He is responsible for overseeing all store level management and team member training and development, in all restaurants for Romulus’ nearly 6,000 employees by designing, adjusting and delivering training classes, workshops and webinars for on-going development, and ensuring all processes for development of team members are followed.
Tracy is responsible for managing all training related issues and provide high quality customer service across the companies by working with managers in the restaurants to improve overall operations through training and development.
Kelley Luttrell, Vendor Manager/Purchasing
Kelley Luttrell is the Vendor Manager of Purchasing for Romulus Restaurant Group. With RRG since 2003, she is responsible for executing and monitoring all non-food national contracts, service agreements, and multiple house accounts. She manages relationships with vendors along with troubleshooting any vendor issues, performs document analysis to evaluate price, products, and performance of vendor, and purchases all replacement equipment for existing locations, as well as place opening orders for new builds.
Cassy Highfill, Operational Services
Cassy Highfill serves in Operational Services for Romulus Restaurant Group. Beginning her journey with RRG in 2008, she is responsible for working with the distribution centers to ensure availability of food and supplies to the restaurants for both core menu items and promotional offerings. She is also the liaison for DineEquity’s buying group, CSCS, and she assists as needed with charity and local marketing events.
Sophia Zaft, Sr. Manager of Marketing and Communications
Sophia Zaft is the Sr. Manager of Marketing and Communications for Romulus Restaurant Group. With RRG since 2017, Sophia is responsible for community relations, special projects, and charitable giving, and marketing and public relations for the field.
Sophia graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of North Dakota, and a Masters in Mass Communication from the Cronkite School at Arizona State University.
